Therapist

New Leaf Academy Therapists are responsible for providing individual, family and group therapy in the milieu setting for a caseload of approximately 7 students.  

Candidate Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field
• Minimum Licensed Intern in counseling or related field
• Ability to work as a team member within a complex program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and strong commitment to follow through on tasks
• Ability to build rapport with youth and families and conduct therapy while supporting complex family systems
• Develop, implement and update treatment plans in a timely fashion
• Ability to present information to groups of staff or families
• Availability to participate in a week long on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks
 
Candidate Preferred:
• Licensed Therapist or Clinical Social Worker
• Experience working in a residential facility with a middle school population
• Experience with case management duties of a milieu-based program
• Experience with girls who have social deficits, especially with Social Thinking Curriculum
• Experience running and facilitating youth and family retreats
• Certifications in various therapeutic modalities
• Ability to be flexible and take occasional overnight trips
• CPR and First Aid Certified
 
Position is full-time, 40 hours/week.  Hours vary but are primarily afternoons and evenings and may include one weekend day.

Food Services Manager

New Leaf Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for girls, ages 10-15.  We are seeking a full-time Food Services Manager.  The Food Services Manager oversees all aspects of managing and providing meals for the 28 residential students and the staff members who work with them.  We serve high quality, from scratch, nutritious, and complex food to our students. 
 
Specific responsibilities include:
o Plan weekly menus in accordance to age appropriate dietary guidelines
o Conduct inventory, order and shop for food, kitchen supplies, and home supplies
o Supervise one other part-time cook
o Prepare and serve from scratch, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 35 people
o Ensure that all food preparation, storage and cleaning methods follow health department regulations
o Manage and monitor Food Services budget
o Supervise and support students while they are helping in the kitchen
o Develop and maintain positive, healthy relationships with students
o Weekly attendance at All Staff meetings
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience preparing and cooking high quality, healthy food
• Ability to work independently

A current driver’s license and Oregon Food Handlers Card is required as well the ability to pass a background check.

Position is full-time, year-round (including holidays) and includes a combination of early morning and evening shifts.
