Educational Assistant & Residential Counselor

This position includes time in both the residential and academic settings daily. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Guide students through their morning living routines while helping them to develop self-care skills
  • Support students in the classroom setting
  • Provide behavioral support to students in and out of the classroom as needed
  • Provide administrative support for the academic campus
  • Support a variety of student activities as needed

Minimum Requirements/Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Human Development or related field
  • Experience working with youth with a wide range of abilities and learning styles and/or emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Ability to build relationships with youth while maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to give and receive feedback from co-workers and others. 
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Schedule is Monday-Friday 5:45am-1:45pm.

Position is full-time, year-round (including holidays) and pays $14.50/hour.  Opportunity for hourly wage increase to $15.25 with development and training within first year of employment
